Putting boots on: Gently pull zips down the heel as far as possible. Sit down, use a shoehorn and gently pull them on. Remaining seated with feet at 90°, pull zips as high as possible. Stand up to pull zips to the top and secure. Taking boots off: Gently pull the zip down to the heel as far as possible and use a boot jack to take your foot out carefully. Using a step or even the other boot can cause damage over time. Never stand on the bottom of the zips, or brace against them with your foot. Cleaning and maintenance: Leaving your leather boots dirty, damp or drying them too quickly can cause stiffening and damage. After every wear, dry naturally and always use boot trees to maintain shape. For a deep clean, remove the laces if needed. Remove dirt with a soft brush. Use a quality leather cleaner and apply premium leather balm. Buff with a soft cloth. The LeMieux Luggage Collection for storage is recommended.
